Obama Exposed! Leaked agency memo shows massive plot by Marxist-in-Chief Barak Hussein Obama to force 12 million illegals on America!

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration, unable to push an immigration overhaul through Congress, is considering ways it could go around lawmakers to allow undocumented immigrants to stay in the United States, according to an agency memo.

The internal draft written by officials at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services outlines ways that the government could provide "relief" to illegal immigrants — including delaying deportation for some, perhaps indefinitely, or granting green cards to others — in the absence of legislation revamping the system.

It's emerging as chances fade in this election year for a measure President Barack Obama favors to put the nation's estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants on a path to legal status, and as debate rages over an Arizona law targeting people suspected of being in the country illegally.

The 11-page internal memo, written in April to the agency's director, says: "This memorandum offers administrative relief options to promote family unity, foster economic growth, achieve significant process improvements and reduce the threat of removal for certain individuals present in the United States without authorization."

It goes on: "In the absence of comprehensive immigration reform, USCIS can extend benefits and/or protections to many individuals or groups."

The memo provoked a backlash by Republicans who called it evidence that Obama is looking for ways of relaxing immigration policies without political consensus to enact a new law.

"The document provides an additional basis for our concerns that the administration will go to great lengths to circumvent Congress and unilaterally execute a backdoor amnesty plan," said Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, who obtained and circulated the memo. "The problem remains that if you reward illegality, you get more of it."

Grassley led a group of conservative GOP senators who wrote to Obama in June asking him to promise that the administration wouldn't use its authority to "change the current position of a large group of illegal aliens already in the United States."

The Iowan's staff said the group has not received a response.

Obama's Anti-Business Policies Are Our Economic Katrina

in the two decades of the 1980s and 1990s, the United States created 73 million new private sector jobs—while simultaneously losing some 44 million jobs in the process of adjusting its economy to international competition. That was a net gain of some 29 million jobs. A stunning 55 percent of the total workforce at the end of these two decades was in a new job, some two-thirds of them in industries that paid more than the average wage. By contrast, continental Europe, with a larger economy and workforce, created an estimated 4 million jobs in the same period, most of which were in the public sector (and the cost of which they are beginning to regret).

Cheerful giving or guilt trap?

I laughed when I watched this commercial. But, there are some good questions we might ask ourselves when it comes to giving.

For instance: am I a cheerful giver or do I feel like the guy from the commercial, i.e. that giving to God is some guilt trap some sour looking church dude set me up with?

Notice the looks others gave to the reluctant fella from the commercial. How much of our giving is because of what we think others might think of us? Or do we give solely because we know Jesus is watching our giving?

Having taken a seat opposite the Treasury, He observed how the people were dropping money into the Treasury, and that many of the wealthy threw in large sums.  Mark 12:41 (WEYMTH)

The word "observed" shows that Jesus spent time in watching the giving at the temple. He didn't just notice some lady, he was there watching. In fact, to be able to compare someone's actions to the rest, you need to have a reference, right? So while you're giving, know that Jesus is watching you with joy and expectation to release his awesome plans into your life.

More on Dutch Funding of Ground Zero Mosque and Daisy Khan's Polygamy Initiatives

From Pamela Geller:

More on Dutch Funding of Ground Zero Mosque and Daisy Khan's Polygamy Initiatives

Asma

Back on Tuesday, Atlas was first to report that the Dutch government was financing the Ground Zero mega mosque's Imam Rauf. The Dutch gave a million dollars to Daisy Khan's American Society for Muslim Advancement. Daisy Khan is the wife of the terror-tied Imam Rauf of the infamous 911 mega mosque at Ground Zero.

Geert Wilders demanded an explanation from House of Parliament on why the Dutch Government would  fund the Ground Zero Islamic supremaist mosque.

But wait, there's more. Daisy Khan, the Imam's wife, is the Executive Director of the American Society for Muslim Advancement. Her group received one million dollars, funded by the Dutch Minister of Development Aid, Bert Koenders (PvdA, Labour Party, Socialists) to ASMA (via the “Millennium Development Goals Fund” (MDG3), transferred a short time before terror tied Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf closed on the purchase of the building (June 20, 2009).

The Dutch funded Daisy's "women's initiative" .......... here is Daisy Khan on polygamy (over at NPR):

Some Muslims in U.S. Quietly Engage in Polygamy

Khan, who does pre-marriage counseling, says she always raises the issue of polygamy with engaged couples.

"I also explain to them that as a woman, you have certain rights, and as a man, he may one day exercise his right to have a second wife," Khan says. "And usually the man says, 'No, no, no. I'm never going to do that.' And I say, 'Well, in case you ever get tempted, how about we put that in the contract?'"

Here is the nonsensical doubletalk on the Dutch website for Rauf and Daisy's jihad:

American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA)

Women’s Islamic Initiative in Spirituality and Equity (WISE) Compact Program.

WISE Compact will work with local and national women leaders and the organizations they work in. The programme aims to provide: a) a global infrastructure for shared work among Muslim women’s groups, organisations, institutions, and networks, b) religious context for Muslim women’s dialogue about, and advocacy for, their rights, c) an institutional voice for gender equality, and d) accessible knowledge about effective ways to promote the equitable ethic of Islam. The activities planned for each of the results include development of WISE Compact design, develop partnerships with Muslim women’s organisations to develop learning and training resources, implement training with marginalised women and girls and create a comprehensive WISE Compact sustainability plan. The programme will focus on Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestinian Administrative Areas, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and Turkey.

Atlas reader Mika queries, "What's so special about the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA)? Why are other religious groups not receiving similar million dollar funding from the Dutch government? Why the discrimination against all the thousands of other such organizations? In my opinion, the Dutch government should be sued for such blatant discrimination."

How much did the Chabad get?

UPDATE: More name calling from the radically intolerant, as if self preservation were a bad thing.

Hello from New York City!

In the beginning was...the Quran's instruction to kill!

The Bible tells us that in the beginning was...the Word! And the Word was with God and the Word was God! (John 1:1)

When approaching Islam, it's important to realize that beginnings of this religion were in revenge, violence, domination and extortion.

Now let the Quran speak for itself:

SURAH 4:89, THE NOBLE QUARN: Those who reject Islam must be killed. If they turn back (from Islam) take (hold of) them and kill them wherever you find them.

SURAH 47:4, THE NOBLE QURAN So, when you meet (in fight – Jihad in Allah’s Cause) those who disbelieve, smite (their) necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives).

SURAH 9:123, THE NOBLE QURAN O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you; and know that Allah is with those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious).

SURAH 8:67, THE NOBLE QUARN It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land.

SURAH 9:29, THE NOBLE QURAN Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), (4) and those who who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah (tax) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued(the Arabic is more like : abject subjection)

SURAH 9:5, THE NOBLE QURAN Fight and slay the Pagans wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)……

GOOD!!! U.K. Shariah Banks Hampered by Recession, Lack of Support

July 21 (Bloomberg) -- Growth in Islamic financing in the U.K. has been hampered by an economic slump and what Moody’s Investors Service describes as a lack of government support.

HSBC Amanah, a unit of Europe’s biggest bank, says Malaysia and the Middle East have better growth prospects. Lloyds Banking Group Plc, the U.K.’s largest mortgage lender, stopped offering home financing that complies with Shariah law because the overseas underwriter withdrew, Emile Abu- Shakra, a spokesman at the bank in London, said in an interview yesterday. The Birmingham-based Islamic Bank of Britain said income from Islamic transactions dropped to 3 million pounds ($4.6 million) last year, from 8 million pounds in 2008.

Growth in the industry in the U.K., Europe’s largest market for products complying with the religion’s ban on interest, has been hurt by a lack of regulations, according to Moody’s. The U.K. Treasury yesterday reiterated the previous government’s 2008 position a sovereign sukuk sale, which would provide a benchmark for issuance, didn’t offer “value for money.”

“Most of the Islamic offerings are simply not competitive compared to their conventional counterparts,” Ahmad Alanani, an associate director for the Middle East and North Africa at Exotix Ltd. in London, an investment bank specializing in illiquid securities, said in an interview on July 7. “They have failed to achieve the mass appeal it was hoped they would.”

‘Challenging’ Environment

HSBC, Lloyds and IBB are among 22 lenders competing for a share of the U.K.’s $19 billion of Islamic assets, according to International Financial Services London, which promotes the nation’s financial industry overseas. That compares with $93 billion in Malaysia, almost 20 percent of the country’s total.

The U.K. Islamic mortgage market amounts to 500 million pounds, 0.3 percent of total home loans, International Financial Services said in a January report. To comply with the religion’s ban on interest, Shariah-qualified banks buy property on behalf of the borrower and resell it back at a profit, with repayments typically made in installments.

IBB’s losses increased 61 percent in 2009, “impacted by the challenging economic environment,” Chairman Mohsen Moustafa wrote in the company’s annual report. HSBC Amanah’s Chief Executive Officer Mukhtar Hussain cited a “very difficult” period for the U.K. Islamic market, in a June 29 interview in Kuala Lumpur.

Sukuk Returns

Global sales of Islamic bonds have fallen 29 percent to $6.62 billion from the same period last year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Sukuk issuance rose to a record in 2007.

The yield on Malaysia’s 3.928 percent Islamic notes due June 2015 fell two basis points to 3.145 percent as of 8:30 a.m. in Singapore, the lowest level since the bonds were sold on May 27, according to prices from Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc. The difference over similar-maturity U.S. Treasuries has narrowed to 152 basis points from 180 since then.

Islamic bonds returned 7 percent so far this year, according to the HSBC/NASDAQ Dubai US Dollar Sukuk Index, while regular debt in developing markets gained 8 percent, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s EMBI Global Diversified Index shows.

Emerging-market sukuk yielded an average 430 basis points more than the London interbank offered rate yesterday, having narrowed by 37 basis points, or 0.37 percentage point, so far this year, according to the HSBC/NASDAQ data.

‘Difficult Time’

Shariah-compliant loans in Europe, the Middle East and Africa dropped 35 percent so far in 2010 to $2.32 billion, the lowest level in five years, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Islamic bank loans in Malaysia, the world’s biggest market for sukuk, more than doubled to a two-year high of $4.1 billion in the first half of this year.

“The U.K. is going through a very difficult time right now and the environment is much more challenging, hence, our focus is on the Middle East and Malaysia because we think that those markets have better growth prospects,” HSBC Amanah’s Hussain said. “We haven’t scaled down” our U.K. operations, he said.

HSBC Amanah was set up a decade ago and offers housing finance. The lender has 28,000 bank account customers and extended 800 million pounds of loans for Islamic mortgages since 2003, according to a statement from spokesman James Thorpe.

Lloyds started Islamic banking operations in 2006 and is committed to its customers, the bank’s spokesman Emile said, adding that the lender had seen 70 percent growth in Shariah accounts allowing instant access over the last two years.

‘Botched Attempt’

“HSBC and Lloyds had made a botched attempt at this segment by initially offering a variety of Shariah compliant products, which they have since failed to market successfully,” Alanani at Exotix said on July 7.

The Islamic Bank of Britain has provided mortgages, loans and retail services through its eight branches since 2004 to cater to the U.K.’s 1.8 million Muslims. While clients rose 6 percent to 50,000 and deposits climbed 18 percent to 186.6 million pounds last year, its business slumped during the recession, according to its latest annual report.

IBB’s loss last year widened to 9.49 million pounds, from 5.9 million pounds. The bank’s shares last traded at 3.75 pounds on July 19, down 48 percent from the year’s peak of 7.25 pounds on Jan. 7. The lender declined a request for an interview.

More regulatory and legislative development needs to be done to encourage the establishment and marketing of Shariah- compliant investments, Faisal Hijazi, the business development manager of rating services and Islamic finance at Moody’s in Dubai, said in a July 1 interview in Kuala Lumpur.

“I can understand the frustration” of the industry players in the U.K., Hijazi said. “The product availability is still limited, and the scale of the product is still limited.”

The U.K. government introduced tax concessions for Islamic bonds in its annual budget in 2007 and authorities extended tax breaks to Islamic mortgages in 2003.

“A lot of people would have said five years ago the U.K. was going to be the next big market,” said Hussain of HSBC Amanah. “I don’t think that’s the case.”

MUST READ: Margaret Thatcher on Christianity and Public Policy, Wealth Creation and More

"What then are the distinctive marks of Christianity? They stem not from the social but from the spiritual side of our lives, and personally, I would identify three beliefs in particular:

First, that from the beginning man has been endowed by God with the fundamental right to choose between good and evil. And second, that we were made in God's own image and, therefore, we are expected to use all our own power of thought and judgement in exercising that choice; and further, that if we open our hearts to God, He has promised to work within us. And third, that Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, when faced with His terrible choice and lonely vigil chose to lay down His life that our sins may be forgiven. I remember very well a sermon on an Armistice Sunday when our Preacher said, "No one took away the life of Jesus , He chose to lay it down".

May I also say a few words about my personal belief in the relevance of Christianity to public policy—to the things that are Caesar's?

The Old Testament lays down in Exodus the Ten Commandments as given to Moses, the injunction in Leviticus to love our neighbour as ourselves and generally the importance of observing a strict code of law. The New Testament is a record of the Incarnation, the teachings of Christ and the establishment of the Kingdom of God. Again we have the emphasis on loving our neighbour as ourselves and to "Do-as-you-would-be-done-by".

We are told we must work and use our talents to create wealth. "If a man will not work he shall not eat" wrote St. Paul to the Thessalonians. Indeed, abundance rather than poverty has a legitimacy which derives from the very nature of Creation.

Nevertheless, the Tenth Commandment—Thou shalt not covet—recognises that making money and owning things could become selfish activities. But it is not the creation of wealth that is wrong but love of money for its own sake. The spiritual dimension comes in deciding what one does with the wealth. How could we respond to the many calls for help, or invest for the future, or support the wonderful artists and craftsmen whose work also glorifies God, unless we had first worked hard and used our talents to create the necessary wealth? And remember the woman with the alabaster jar of ointment...

To assert absolute moral values is not to claim perfection for ourselves. No true Christian could do that. What is more, one of the great principles of our Judaic-Christian inheritance is tolerance. People with other faiths and cultures have always been welcomed in our land, assured of equality under the law, of proper respect and of open friendship. There's absolutely nothing incompatible between this and our desire to maintain the essence of our own identity. There is no place for racial or religious intolerance in our creed.

When Abraham Lincoln spoke in his famous Gettysburg speech of 1863 of "government of the people, by the people, and for the people", he gave the world a neat definition of democracy which has since been widely and enthusiastically adopted. But what he enunciated as a form of government was not in itself especially Christian, for nowhere in the Bible is the word democracy mentioned. Ideally, when Christians meet, as Christians, to take counsel together their purpose is not (or should not be) to ascertain what is the mind of the majority but what is the mind of the Holy Spirit—something which may be quite different. [Applause]
Nevertheless I am an enthusiast for democracy. And I take that position, not because I believe majority opinion is inevitably right or true—indeed no majority can take away God-given human rights—but because I believe it most effectively safeguards the value of the individual, and, more than any other system, restrains the abuse of power by the few. And that is a Christian concept.

But there is little hope for democracy if the hearts of men and women in democratic societies cannot be touched by a call to something greater than themselves. Political structures, state institutions, collective ideals—these are not enough.

We Parliamentarians can legislate for the rule of law. You, the Church, can teach the life of faith...".

George Bakalov's Posterous

Please note this is my personal blog, so here I can say whatever I want to say without it necessarily representing the organizations I am part of.

I am involved in ministry, business, philanthropy and freedom activism. It will be hard to define me with a single label. Thus the need to assemble information relevant to all my interests in one place, categorized accordingly AND (occasionally) with a small commentary below the story.

This blog is mainly for those of my friends who want to keep up with what I'm keeping up with.

As far as visitors, please hear me out -- I don't have time to monkey around! I let people know exactly where I stand. I've noticed I drive lefties and Islamists insane and I take it as a badge of honor. Occasionally I also offend [self-righteous] Christians who prefer polite liars to straight shooters. Oh, well! You have the human right to be wrong. I'll take mine to be a son of liberty.

Difference of opinion is welcome. Profanity and trolling - not!
